Fast and Easy Guacamole with frozen avocado
This easy guacamole recipe is quick and perfect for game day. Frozen avocados work great and save time!
Ingredients
- 1 bag frozen diced avocado 10 oz
- 1/2 cup fresh salsa
- 1 tbsp lime juice
- 1/4 tsp kosher salt
Instructions
- Put frozen avocado in a bowl and cover with lukewarm water and stir around. This process helps remove some of the ascorbic acid that was added to the avocado before it was frozen.
- Drain the water off and cover with a towel and allow to thaw for at least an hour at room temperature.
- Using a fork, mash the avocado pieces into a chunky paste. If you like a smoother guac, a food processor works great.
- Add salsa, salt, and lemon juice and stir with a fork until desired consistency and texture is how you prefer it.
